Green-Wood's Historic Architecture; Revamped Billyburg Lofts

New, 1 comment

BROOKLYN?It may seem weird to hang out in a graveyard, but Green-Wood Cemetery in south Brooklyn is one of the most beautiful green spaces in New York City. It's one of the oldest, too?this year marks its 175th anniversary, making it older than both Central and Prospect Parks. To celebrate, the Museum of the City of New York is hosting an exhibition about Green-Wood's architecture and history. It will include photographs, paintings, and 3D models of the monuments, as well as vintage guide books touting its popularity and stories of the people buried there. It opens this Wednesday, May 15 and runs through October 13. [CurbedWire Inbox; official]

EAST WILLIAMSBURG?Last fall, Silverstone Property Group purchased a warehouse rental building at 885 Park Avenue in Brooklyn. They've been renovating the 28 loft apartments as they become available, and the first three units recently came to market. All are three-bedrooms, and they range in price from $2,585/month to $3,400/month. The five-story building also has a new rooftop deck and residents lounge. [CurbedWire Inbox; official]
