Residents of Greenpoint are familiar with the name Belvedere?it's etched on the facade of some 30 buildings in the North Brooklyn neighborhood. All are the product of Krzysztof Rostek, a developer who has been erecting matchy red brick apartment buildings for the last decade. In an area filled with drab vinyl-sided homes and cheap new glassy condos, how do people feel about the multiplying Belvederes? "They could be worse.
