The East Village Eye magazine came out every month from May 1979 to January 1987, and it's credited with bringing to prominence the East Village art scene and to artists Keith Haring, Sue Coe, Barbara Kruger, and others. It was "the first publication ever to print the words 'hip hop.'" And now its archives are coming online. First up are ten issues focused on fashion in honor of the Met's "Punk: Chaos to Couture" exhibit. [East Village Eye via EV Grieve]
