This Willow Street Homeowner Wanted Three Backyard Pools

New, 1 comment

This proposed backyard pool for a townhouse at 105 Willow Street in Brooklyn Heights might be one of the more awesome-slash-gutsy proposals we've seen go before the Landmarks Preservation Commission. The proposal, Brownstoner explains, calls for a 25-foot-deep excavation of the yard to add two levels of pools. Underground, there would be a pool and whirlpool with a skylight and barrel vault ceiling, and above that, an infinity reflecting pool. Why have one kind of pool when you could have three? Alas, the LPC has already turned down the proposal, so we won't see this happen unless the owner is willing to scale back his or her dreams.
