Little Brooklyn House Hides Vast Interiors, Statement Staircase

New, 24 comments

You're not supposed to judge a book by its cover, and you shouldn't judge this Greenpoint rowhouse by its facade. There's a lot more than meets the eye of this two-story home. The interior clocks in at 4,700-square-feet, with each floor stretching 70-feet long and 23 to 25-feet wide. The kitchen alone, at 600-square-feet, is bigger than many apartments. Located at 16 North Henry Street, the home is currently listed for $2,365,000. That price, however, doesn't get you a finished product?the brokerbabble notes that the house is still in the process of being converted from a two-family building to a single-family residence.

The floorplan, unfortunately, is hard to read, but it gives a general sense of things, especially the size of the roof deck. There's also a "two-level backyard," 600-square-foot master suite with a walk-in cedar closet, a spiral statement staircase, and an elevator. The enormous kitchen has cherry cabinetry, under cabinet lighting, granite countertops, and professional grade appliances. The photos show a mostly complete interior, so we're assuming the unfinished part is the roof deck and garden. Any takers?
