The golden arches are finally returning to East 23rd Street. McDonald's inked a 99-year lease for 26 East 23rd Street, right next door to luxury condo One Madison Park. The fast food chain left the block back in 2005, when they sold their space to the original condo developer who had promised Mickey D's a new space inside the building. Then the building changed hands, and there were financial troubles and legal battles. But after eight years, that's all in the past, and soon people who can't bear to wait on line at Shake Shack can cross the street to get a Big Mac. [MadPark News; previously]
