In the end, the personalized, fairly disparate design elements in Snapple President Jack Belsito's West 88th Street townhouse did not prove to be much of an obstacle, as the house went into contract earlier this month and just sold for $6.6 million, only $395,000 below the asking price, city records show. The new owners of the four-story late 19th century house, who appear to be a couple of art dealers, will have a bunch of decorative fireplaces and an impressive original staircase to work with when they undoubtedly redo the place.
