Hint: The Same Clock Still Tells The Time On This Corner

Welcome to Cornerspotter, Curbed's game in which you try to identify the location and/or identity of a particular building or streetscape in a historic photograph. Impress us and your fellow Curbed readers with your uncanny insight into New York City and its past!

This corner building looks largely the same today, but the neighbors have changed quite a bit. The four-story tenements are gone, having been replaced by a much more mammoth structure. Some of the decorative elements of the white building's facade are gone, but the clock on the corner still keeps the time, some 60 years after this photo was taken. Do you know where this building is?
