Applications were due yesterday for the history tribute fence planned to brighten up some of the parking lots that make up the Seward Park Urban Renewal Area, or SPURA as it's more popularly known around these parts. Now ArtHERE, which is running the competition, has put some of the submissions online; the winner should be announced in about two weeks. The task was to "highlight and pay homage to the cultural and creative institutions that are home to the Lower East Side." Take a look at a few of the entries in the gallery above.
