The city's Design + Construction Excellence program selects architects who will then be charged with designing public buildings and capital construction projects, and this year's roster of architects includes some exciting names, particularly for projects budgeted over $15 million. A few of the winning firms: Bjarke Ingels Group, Steven Holl Architects, and TEN Arquitectos. Of course, being chosen by the program doesn't necessarily mean a firm will develop buildings?it just means each firm is pre-qualified and will have the chance to compete for projects.
