164 East 83rd Street, a five-story townhouse on the Upper East Side just listed for $9.25 million, is sort of a mixed bag. Some parts look very enticing, such as the patio/garden, terrace, and rear facade with three floors of bay windows. Other parts look like they are covered in wall-to-wall purple carpeting, such as the room that is covered in wall-to-wall purple carpeting. The facade is also purple (albeit a much lighter shade) and not much to look at, although it does feature a little garage. The house last changed hands in 1993.
