Willis CEO Goes Below $30 Million at 995 Fifth Avenue

Willis Group Holdings CEO Joseph Plumeri listed his 15th-floor spread at 995 Fifth Avenue after a long battle with developer Extell. Plumeri accused Extell?which converted the former Stanhope Hotel into apartments?of defective waterproofing, floor installation, and fireproofing. But Plumeri renovated, and he subsequently sought $32 million for the four-bedroom, seven-bathroom, two-powder room pad. The negative publicity might not have done him any favors, though. He has just reduced his price to $29.9 million.

The listing makes no mention of any past issues, of course. It just highlights the mahogany-paneled study, "refrigerated private wine cave" off the dining room, and the "piece de resistance" that is the master suite. Here's the floorplan:
