Cities around the world are in High Line copycat mode, and the Royal Institute of British Architects recently announced the winner of its own High Line competition, a proposal from Erect Architecture called Promenade of Curiosities. The renderings are sort of cabinet of curiosity meets Alice in Wonderland and involve rain gardens, strangely-pruned shrubs and trees, crystal balls, Victorian bicycles, and men with elephant heads.
