The Cronut Craze Continues; Why Noisy Restaurants Suck

This week's top dish from Eater NY, Curbed's restaurant, bar, and nightlife blog...

1) A Food Lover's Mobile Universe: Our friends over at Eater just released?drumroll please!?a shiny new app for iOS and Android. Download it ASAP, then consult it to figure out where you should eat tonight, whether you're in the mood for a tried-and-true classic or a hot up-and-comer, in New York City and beyond.

2) Soho: Yes, cronuts are a craze that is still happening. Will it fizzle or will it endure? Read on to find out all you ever wanted to know about the hybrid pastry... probably more, actually.

3) Citywide: Former Village Voice food critic Robert Sietsema is now part of the Curbed family (hooray!), and this week he writes that restaurants are just too damn noisy. Cue the grumbling.

4) Williamsburg: How much hype is too much? One editor Instagrammed the heck out of a preview dinner at Paul Liebrandt's newest venture, The Elm, slated to open in early July. Let's just say it's got a lot of high expectations to exceed.

5) Tribeca: Michael White's newest venture, The Butterfly, is almost upon us. Or, rather, in our bellies. The Wisconsin supper club-style eatery with classic cocktails is about to open... we know because there's signage up, folks.
