Transmitter Park's New Pier; LIC Rental Tower Is 30% Leased

New, 9 comments

GREENPOINT?When we first received word this week that Transmitter Park was a "new secret" along the north Brooklyn waterfront, we were a bit baffled. Last summer, we toured the thing, and there was even a ribbon-cutting a la Bloomberg. "So what's new?" we asked. Well, the 1.6-acre green space has a new long pier that juts out from the Kent Street End of the park into the East River. It was designed by WXY Architecture, complete with little pods-slash-decks for serious chillage. Now that the pier (yay piers) has opened, the park is officially complete. The city is also accepting proposals for a concessionaire. Somebody get out that ribbon for a re-do! [CurbedWire Inbox; previously]

LONG ISLAND CITY?Listings, amenities, and floorplans at 45-45 Center Boulevard, a 41-story, 820-unit waterfront rental building within TF Cornerstone's massive East Coast project, materialized a few months ago, and now we hear that the tower is 30 percent leased out. One-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments start at $2,200/month; here's what availability looks like now. [CurbedWire Inbox; previously]
