A young financier who graduated college early, at the tender of 23 Trang Nguyen scraped together $540,000 to purchase this one-bedroom apartment at Hunters Point condo conversion The PowerHouse. Three years later, she's opted to go the FSBO route, putting it on the market for $705,000, and her younger sister Ann is helping her market it. A website they created vaunts the floor-to-ceiling windows, hardwood floors, and walk-in closet, while the building itself has a roof deck, gym, bike storage, and theater room. "You can call us kids, but we're not really," Ann writes. "I believe in DIY so that's why we're selling the place ourselves without going through agents. I respect but have encountered many airhead real estate agents. I don't believe in giving them 5% of the cut so I created a full-blown campaign for my sis' apt... She's putting me through college (and raising our puppy!) so I'm finding creative means to repay my debt." An inspiring effort, and perhaps also one that incites some envy in other young professionals who can't yet afford their own condo. But is this ambitious resale effort priced too high?
