Hint: An Elegant 20th Century Hotel That's Lost Its Elegance

New, 4 comments

For this Hotels Week addition of Cornerspotter, we chose a building that's operated as a hotel for more than 100 years. The 12-story building was built during the early 20th-century hotel boom, spurred by the construction of the original Waldorf-Astoria, and it was touted as a small, elegant hotel. Today, it still exists as a hotel, but it's lost much of what made it special. Do you know where this hotel is and what's it's called today? Bonus points if you know the original name, too.
