'Party Wall' Opens Soon At PS1; Graffiti In A Harlem Rental

New, 4 comments

LONG ISLAND CITY?The summer fun starts tomorrow at MoMA PS1, as the museum hosts a press preview of this year's courtyard installation, Party Wall. Designed by Coda, the large-scale structure is made of interlocking wooden pieces, 120 of which can be detached to make benches and tables. Water-filled "pillows" hanging between the walls will glow at night to provide light, and the whole system will act as an aqueduct, carrying a steady stream of water. The first WarmUp concert event takes place this Saturday. [CurbedWire Inbox; previously]

HARLEM?Bond real estate agent Cindy Macio was visiting a Harlem rental on West 141st Street for a couple clients, and she was surprised to find a colorful graffiti mural on the living room wall. The landlord is renovating the apartment, but decided to keep the mural, thinking it would be a selling point?and Macio's clients agreed. If there's one apartment on the market with a custom mural, there must be more, so if you know of any, hit up the tipline with your photos. [CurbedWire Inbox]

CHELSEA?A reader wrote to the tipline about the High Line's water feature near 15th Street, noting that it had been off for quite some time. But not to worry?we reached out to park officials, and it turns out the feature was undergoing routine maintenance. It will be turned back on sometime next week. [CurbedWire Inbox; previously]
