Architecture critics James Russell and Lee Rosenbaum also went on a construction tour of the new Whitney Museum building under construction in MePa, and they have a few comments on and critiques of the space. Russell's most excited about the stepped terraces from which museumgoers can look out at the "fantastic fabric and texture" of the city. Rosenbaum has some concerns, though, about the "knock-down architecture" of the interior, which is missing any "sense of permanence." [WNYC via CultureGrrl]
