Comparing Five Designers' Hotel and Residential Projects

New, 3 comments

New York City is full of beautifully-designed hotels, many by designers who have also worked on residential projects. How do the two types of work compare? We took a look at the hotel vs. the residential projects of a number of top designers. Above, Roman and Williams, whose hotel projects include The Standard and The Ace.

The work of designer Arnaud Montigny, above, includes the Hotel Americano and numerous residences.

Brooklyn firm Workstead is behind the design of the Wythe Hotel and an unspecified residence in Park Slope.

TsAO & McKOWN is responsible for the Tribeca Grand, the hotel example shown above, as well as the Mercer Hotel, and among the firm's residential projects is an apartment at The Beresford.

Hoteliers Kit and Tim Kemp of the Crosby Street Hotel also own a London townhouse.
