Futuristic Park Place Shocker To Be Called Tribeca Royale

New, 16 comments

Work began last year at 19 Park Place, the space age-looking tower designed by Ismael Levya, and now the building has a name! Please say hello to the Tribeca Royale, a name that will no doubt inspire some neighborhood boundary debate. A press release also gives some new details about the interiors. There will be 24 condos, not 29, and 11 of those will be full-floor residences on the upper floors. A few units will be duplexes, and those situated at the building setbacks will have private terraces. The building is just 25-feet wide, and evidently, "this striking design maximizes available space throughout the lean structure."

The 21-story, 292-foot tall building is being developed by ABN Realty, and it will have a double-height lobby, a gym, residential lounges, and a shared terrace. All units have (highly visible) rounded balconies with glass railings, and two units have private rooftop terraces. No word yet on pricing or if the building is still on track for November completion (but we doubt it is). Reps say the building is on track for a 2014 completion. We haven't seen the construction site in a few months, so any photos showing the progress are welcome on the tipline.
