Any one who has ever attended a community board meeting knows that the average board member age is, uh, not that young, but a new bill wants to change this. A Queens CB member has proposed a change to allow teenagers as young as 16 years old to join the boards. Why? "The earlier we involve kids and students in the political process, the better and more robust our government will be." And how do teens feel about this? "We'd vote for liquor to be legal. And parks to be open later." [NYDN]
