A 115-unit rental building at 165 West 91st Street sold to a developer last April for nearly $70 million, and now it's ready to join the world of uptown condo conversions as Mirabeau. BuzzBuzz Home spotted the first listings for the now 96-unit building, which currently has nine units on the open market and five units in contract. Available homes range from a 749-square-foot one-bedroom asking $815,000 to a 2,169-square-foot four-bedroom listed for $3.8 million. There will also be at least one five-bedroom unit, so that $3.8M price tag is probably not the highest the building will see.
The renovation replaced all of the building windows, installed new "solid oak basket weave floors," and restored the marble lobby. Units have central air-conditioning, washer/dryers, bathrooms designed with stone and glass, and chef's kitchens with Miele, Bertazzoni, Fisher & Paykel, and Bosch appliances. Building amenities are the usual: 24-hour doorman, landscaped roof deck, fitness room, children's play room, and bike storage. Is it just us, or are all these prewar condo conversions starting to look the same?
The building should be ready for move-ins this fall.
