Chloe Sevigny Finally Gets $1.76M for 'Womb-Like' EVill 1BR

One year after first listing her East Village one-bedroom, in search of more light and fewer co-op rules, arthouse actress Chloe Sevigny has finally sold the thing for $1.76 million?a hair over its initial ask?according to the Post. The ground-floor unit at 119 East 10th Street has certainly been elusive, capriciously flitting on and off the market since last May. The property initially disappeared within days and was rumored to have sold, but then it relisted in the fall, asking almost $2M. After a couple of winter and early springtime PriceChops, it makes sense that just as the weather is getting good, Sevigny has at last managed to find buyers for the David Cafiero-designed pad with a front patio and private back garden, features that probably trumped the painted-over exposed brick, wood-burning fireplace, and lowish beamed ceilings that make the place feel "womb-like" (her words).

The Post reports that the buyers are up-and-coming tech power couple Halle Tecco and Jeffrey Hammerbacher. We hope they enjoy their well-appointed womb, that the weather cooperates for maximum garden use and that, most of all, they are more patient with co-op bureaucracy than Sevigny was.
