Lawsuits

Views from your apartment are never guaranteed?especially if you're only as high as the third floor. But still, one Upper East Side couple is suing their building board and the neighboring Duane Reade over the drug store's 8-foot-tall air conditioning unit they are installing on the pharmacy roof just outside their window. The $5M suit argues that the unit will block their views and subject them "to excessive noise, possible air pollution and other toxic emissions." The couple had wanted Duane Reade and the board to give them permission to beautify the area for their own personal use, but they opted for the AC instead. Sounds like someone is holding a grudge.
