Citing the success of the East River Ferry, the Metropolitan Waterfront Alliance has begun to lay the groundwork for the possibility of a new ferry that would provide service between Manhattan and the Bronx. The ferry would be welcomed by many Bronx residents whose current commute involves taking the bus to the train.
