Picasso's Grandson's Noho Penthouse Wants $8 Million

New, 10 comments

This elegant sixth-floor penthouse in 439 Lafayette Street is back on the market asking $7.995 million after selling for $7.19 million in October of 2010 to Bernard Ruiz-Picasso, grandson of the artist. And while it may seem odd that Ruiz-Picasso isn't hoping for more of a profit from the 4BR/3.5BA loft-like apartment, which features a "sky pavilion" on top of the 1,200-square-foot landscaped roofdeck, he's also the owner of the largest private collection of Picasso paintings, so maybe he's just not sweating it too hard. It's a shame he had to un-decorate before the listing photos were taken.
