Opulent Brighton Beach Penthouse Finally Sells for $3.5M

New, 11 comments

Our minds were blown when this most Brighton Beach-y of Brighton Beach penthouses hit the market back in 2011 with an asking price of (almost) $5 million. After having its price chopped only once—to $3.9 million—over the next two years, the 10-room, 2,800-square-foot (with a 900-square-foot, beach-facing terrace) apartment has, at long last, changed hands. The final sale price: $3.5 million, a 30 percent discount from the original ask, but still a pretty hefty sum for an apartment in Brighton Beach, even one that features an "onxy slab master suite bath thats fit for a king" and a "quarter of a million dollar matched mahogany office." And in other Brighton Beach penthouse, news, Brighton Beach's most sparkly penthouse was taken off the market earlier this week. Could it, too, be in contract? Could it be gearing up for another listing overhaul and pricechop? Could looking at pictures of Brighton Beach penthouses be one of the most fun things ever? At least we know the answer to one of those questions.
