Rock On

Rock climbing: not the most common outdoor activity in NYC. But a new guidebook coming in August, NYC Bouldering, details 300 of the best routes for bouldering, which is short-route climbing that generally doesn't involve ropes or harnesses. A few of the routes are well-known boulders in Central Park, but others are more obscure, and one, on the south slope of Fort Tryon, has never actually been climbed. [City Room]
