The waiting list for units at the Westbeth Artist Housing complex is about 250 people long, so there are currently 250 very angry people out there because it's been confirmed that 12 to 17 units are vacant. Why? Hurricane Sandy. The storm flooded the basement, so the empty units are being used as staff offices, staff lounges, storage, and locker rooms for the maintenance and security staff.
