A compulsive gambler and former property manager of two Chinatown buildings has pleaded guilty to embezzling more than $1.5 million from his the buildings' business accounts. The manager—Kee Lin, 43—wrote unauthorized checks and covered his tracks by forging bank statements, which he then submitted to the buildings' co-op boards. Something to repeat to yourself next time you feel like complaining about your building's management: at least they aren't stealing millions to fund their crippling gambling addictions. Small victories, people. [NYDN; TRD]
