The G train isn't the only part of New York's public transportation system that will be improved. Today, the MTA announced today $18.1 million worth of planned improvements, including restoring bus routes that were cut in 2010 and extending weekend service on the M train. Nearly $6 million of the funds will go toward station improvements, like cleaning, reorienting turnstiles, and installing security cameras. [WSJ; previously]
