The second iteration of Central Park's Tavern on the Green was supposed to open this fall, but a lot of work remains. New operator Emerald Green Group just filed a preliminary permit with the Department of Buildings, which means that interior work will soon begin. The EDC has been working on the outside, but "gaping holes remain in the scaffolded brick walls," and "new landscaping, an integral part of the new design, looks like a distant dream on the rock-strewn ground around the structure."
