On July 30, developers will break ground on Washington Heights' first-ever hotel. With a completion date set for 2014, it'll be a 54-room property on 514 West 168th Street intended primarily for the various parties (patients' families and the like) who patronize the area's many hospitals. Developed by Moinian Group's director of development and a former exec, it doesn't yet have a name but will likely be a chain. The price tag? $22 million. [Crain's]
