A new design guide explores 38 urban oases in the five boroughs, from well-known waterfront esplanades like Brooklyn Bridge Park to secret green spaces like the Urban Garden Room in the Bank of America Tower. Aptly titled "A Guide to New York City Urban Landscapes," the book features some 130 color photographs plus descriptions and maps, so it's both helpful and easy on the eyes. In August, the library is hosting the author. [AN Blog]
