UPPER WEST SIDE?The West 59th Street Recreation Center has been reborn as a state-of-the-art facility by Belmont Freeman Architects. Now called the Gertrude Ederle Recreation Center, named for the first lady to swim across the English Channel, the new building was created as part of the Parks Department's Design Excellence program. The architects preserved the historic 60th Street bathhouse and built a new 10,500-square-foot addition with a new pool and fitness center. [CurbedWire Inbox; official]

RED HOOK?A reader sends word of a "hipster trailer park" that set up shop in a vacant lot at 108 Van Dyke Street. The site has "a vintage air stream (definitely not your FEMA variety trailer), a fire pit, hammocks straight of Tulum, and grassy lawn." We hope to see the site with our own eyes soon, but in the meantime, Red Hook denizens, consider this our plea for photos! We'll be forever grateful. [CurbedWire Inbox]

GREENWICH VILLAGE?The Hudson Yards exhibit at the Center for Architecture has been such a hit that it was extended until September. Called "Design(in) the Heart of New York City," the show features hundreds of renderings and visualizations of the west side megaproject, as well as dozens of architectural models and video interviews with the designers. It's now on view through September 2. [Official]
