Unlike last week, when the Cornerspotter location stumped Curbed readers, it did not take long for a commenter to recognize the street in this week's photo as West 187th between Broadway and Wadsworth Avenue. How did (s)he know? "I believe that one of these houses was the backdrop of a murder case in the 1950s." The old photo was taken in 1932, and today, the houses are in varying states of abandonment. One is almost entirely covered with ivy, another has a few broken windows, while several are completely gone.
