JAMAICA BAY?And speaking of storm recovery, Mayor Bloomberg and Secretary of the Interior Sally Jewell announced the creation of a new Science and Resilience Institute. The institute, organized by the City University of New York, will "be a top-tier research center promoting an understanding of resilience in urban ecosystems and their adjacent communities," with the restoration of Jamaica Bay a lens for that study, according to the press release-babble.
