Robert De Niro held onto his 14 Saint Luke's Place townhouse for about 30 years?and his successor held onto it for what feels like about 30 minutes. A buyer picked up the townhouse from De Niro last summer for $9.5 million, and has just returned it to the market seeking $12 million. What has the seller done to justify the new price tag? He/she has paved the way for the home's next owner by providing "fully approved, highly detailed plans by AD 100 architect Steven Harris ?to restore it to its former glory and infuse it with all the modern conveniences that make townhouse living unlike any other." No insult meant to De Niro's townhouse living, of course.
