Rendering Reveals

The much-contested renovation of the National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows-Corona Park is on?and there are renderings. The $550 million project, which has been approved by the City Council so long as the USTA provides ongoing financial support to the parkland on which it sits, includes a retractable roof built over Arthur Ashe stadium, two new, additional stadiums, and a fan esplanade. The complex will be able to hold an additional 10,000 people a day. [DNAinfo; previously]
