"It's not totally hideous," is our tipster's verdict on this rendering for 30 Orient Avenue, which just appeared on the new construction fencing at the corner of Orient and Olive in Williamsburg. The building will be, as the signage announces, residential. The DOB permit has a bit more information: the building will have four floors, eight units, and a total of 5,784 square feet. Since the Schedule A shows only the four apartments, utility rooms, and storage space, the whole thing appears to be rather no-frills. Estimated completion: spring 2014.
