Twitter Says What?

New, 5 comments

Researchers over at the intimidatingly named New England Complex Systems Institute have wrapped their minds around a not-so-technical subject: the happiest and saddest places in New York City, as determined by an intensive meta-analysis... of, um, tweets. After crunching the numbers (yeah, we don't know) on 600,000 Twitter blasts during a two-week period in April 2012, the results are in. Sucky transportation spots, such as Penn Station, JFK, Port Authority, the Holland Tunnel, and even the Brooklyn Bridge, are where fun goes to die, while green lungs like Central Park, the New York Botanical Garden, Pelham Bay Park, and Marcus Garvey Park bring out the good cheer. No surprises there. [NECSI via Vice]
