What $1,400/Month Can Rent You Around New York City

Welcome back to Curbed Comparisons, a column that explores what one can rent for a set dollar amount in various New York City neighborhoods. Is one man's studio another man's townhouse? Let's find out! Today's price: $1,400/month.


? On the Upper West Side, this fairly large and attractive studio apartment right by Lincoln Square is asking $1,500/month. The building includes amenities such as assigned parking, and laundry in the building and the apartment comes with a dishwasher.


? In Astoria, you can get a rent-stabilized 600-square-foot 1BR for $1,500/month. The windows look pretty big, there's laundry in the building, and no pets are allowed.


? In East Harlem, a newly renovated studio with views of Jefferson Park is asking $1,350/month.


? A studio with an alcove in Fort Greene, right by Fort Greene Park, is asking $1,475/month, heat and hot water included.


? In eastern Crown Heights, a 1BR with a large eat-in kitchen and shared outdoor space is going for a mere $1,300/month, heat and hot water included. "Minor renovations" are in progress. No pets allowed.


? And near the border of Prospect Heights and Clinton Hill, a renovated ground foor studio is going for $1,400/month. It's very close to trains.
