West 46th Street Hotel Tower's Latest Design Unveiled

Though it had hopes of becoming a condo-hotel tower in an earlier era, 301 West 46th Street now has a simpler future in front of it. Hotelier RIU Hotels & Resorts is working on a 600-room hotel at the site, replacing a 19th century building that once held a popular-with-1960s-scenesters rock venue. Vanishing New York points out that new construction fencing is up at the site, complete with a rendering of the project.
