Mayor Bloomberg is making sure that all his ducks are in a row before he ships out, and one of those ducks is Gracie Mansion, the Mayor's official residence at East End Avenue and 88th Street, which Bloomberg never lived in but spent $7 million remodeling anyway. In preparation for the new mayor, who in all likelihood will be moving in (probably putting an end to era of the mansion being open to the public) it's getting a final updating, which includes repainting, re-wallpapering, and repairs to the roof, railings, and facade.
