As part of New York City's ongoing War on Lameness, Crown Heights is getting a new music venue called Friends and Lovers. Set to open in November, the venue will be located on Classon Avenue between Pacific and Dean Streets, across the street from a place that (of course) sells live chickens and goats. The two proprietors—Eric Sosa and Diana Mora—are trying to recreate the vibe of Lower East Side hotspot Pianos, and Friends and Lovers will be one of the first hipster nightlife destinations in Crown Heights.
