A preservation battle is brewing on East 31st Street. Word on the street is that the Parish House of the Madison Avenue Baptist Church is going to be marketed next year as a development opportunity. The owner wants to sell the building vacant because the lot can accommodate a hotel or apartment tower up to 30 stories tall if the building is demolished.
