The construction plywood is now up at Harlem's Corn Exchange building, the landmark that went through several iterations with the Landmarks Preservation Commission. DOB permits have been approved for a gut renovation of the seven-story building, and construction will start sometime this month. The plan from Danois Architects aims to "bring back some of the flavor" of the building's earlier forms. "When we finish with it," David Danois told the local community board, "you won't know the building was never there." [Harlem Bespoke; previously]
