FORT GREENE?The newest addition to the BAM Cultural District was awarded LEED Gold certification this week. The Richard B. Fisher building, designed by Hugh Hardy/H3 Hardy Collaboration Architecture, opened last year at 321 Ashland Place. Green accolades include 40 percent lower water consumption than a traditional building of its size, a 22 percent reduction in emissions, and the fact that 97 percent of construction waste was recycled. The rooftop garden helps reduce heating and cooling needs, and it's planted with all native species. [Brownstoner; official]
SOHO?In January, it was reported that Jenna Lyons, J. Crew's executive creative director, was house hunting, but it looks like she may have already settled on a place before that. A tipster altered us a December 31 sale at 112 Mercer Street: a 3,500-square-foot loft sold to a J. L. Mazeau for $6.05 million (10 percent above the asking price). For those not in the loop, Mazeau is the last name of Lyons' ex-husband. [CurbedWire Inbox; StreetEasy]
