Hint: A Street Corner Captured Before A Major Change

New, 6 comments

Welcome to Cornerspotter, Curbed's game in which you try to identify the location and/or identity of a particular building or streetscape in a historic photograph. Impress us and your fellow Curbed readers with your uncanny insight into New York City and its past!

The photo was taken in the late 1920s, a few years before this street corner saw a major change; the blurred signs advertised what was to come. Not many of the buildings shown in the photo still stand, except for the columned building at the far left on the edge of the photo. Today, the area is experiencing another wave of construction and change. Where is this intersection and what stands here today?
